Reflections about our first trip to the Abbotsford airport

Today(Oct. 23, 2013) we went to the Abbotsford Airport. My Group were first shown Chinook Helicopters. We were told the difference between the motors on a helicopters, and why they use turbines on bigger helicopters.  It were quite impressive that such a little turbine as in the Jet Ranger III has 425 hp.
After this we went to Coastal Pacific, where our teacher showed us the plane parts we learned up to now in theory. It were nice to discover all this on the real plane.
At the end of the tour we went to the traffic control tower. It were exactly how I thought it would look like: Both persons up here had five monitors in front of them and when they were talking I didn't understand a word, but our teacher told us that in this course we will also have this, so I hope it won't be complicated. Also I don't really want to become a air traffic controller I think it is a interesting and well paid job.
